Out here in DC. Finishing up a second edit on my high fantasy novel, and outlining a mini limited podcast series, called the Ballad of Slick. It’ll kinda be a mix of historical fiction, horror, family history, and memoir. Sonically full, but not sonically busy. If that makes sense 😅

I’m reading in Newark Ohio. I make an episodic podcast with friend and colleague Jack Shuler called This is Ohio: Stories of the Quietly Heroic. The last one was about a youth choir, and it was a thrill to listen to youth talk about their spiritual lives in real way, and to edit that with their music.
